Anto Antony accuses CPM of leaking list of polling officials

Pathanamthitta: Anto Antony, UDF candidate for Pathanamthitta, has brought forward an accusation against CPM, alleging the unauthorized disclosure of a list containing the names of polling officials. According to electoral protocol, information regarding officers assigned for polling duty is meant to be revealed only during the distribution of polling materials and should remain identifiable solely to the designated officers. However, Antony asserts that a pro-CPM organization leaked the list of polling officers for the Konni constituency, which falls within the Pathanamthitta Lok Sabha constituency, several days ago. This leaked information has been disseminated widely, including through various WhatsApp groups, he alleged.
Antony further comments that this breach poses a significant risk of bogus voting. He has also made the leaked list public and has further alleged that a study class involving 350 participants being organised, purportedly aimed at instructing attendees on how to make people vote in favor of LDF. He has lodged a formal complaint regarding these matters with the District Collector, expressing dissatisfaction with the lack of action taken thus far to address instances of attempted voter fraud within the constituency over the past two months.
Taking to social media, Antony has also alleged a coordinated effort for bogus voting by fabricating identification cards for deceased individuals, expatriates, and individuals unable to reach polling booths on election day for various reasons.
