The Hague: US President Donald Trump on Wednesday claimed that recent American military strikes had completely dismantled Iran’s nuclear infrastructure, claiming the offensive pushed back Tehran’s atomic ambitions by decades.

“They're not going to be building bombs for a long time,” Trump stated, describing the outcome of the operation as the "total obliteration" of Iran’s nuclear capabilities.

He also commented on the status of the ceasefire between Israel and Iran following the strikes, saying it was progressing smoothly.

“The ceasefire is going very well,” Trump added.
