SpaceX Starship rocket explodes during Texas test, no injuries reported | VIDEO

A SpaceX rocket exploded during testing in Texas on Wednesday night, producing a large fireball visible across the sky.

The company reported that the Starship “experienced a major anomaly” at around 11 p.m. while undergoing preparations for its tenth flight test at Starbase, SpaceX’s launch facility located at the southern tip of Texas.

“A safety clear area around the site was maintained throughout the operation and all personnel are safe and accounted for,” SpaceX said in a statement posted on social platform X.

SpaceX CEO Elon Musk’s company assured that there were no dangers to nearby communities and urged the public to avoid approaching the site.

The company added it is coordinating with local authorities to manage the aftermath of the explosion.
