London: Kate, the Princess of Wales, made her first public appearance on Sunday after announcing that she has finished her chemotherapy treatment. She is now ready to return to some public duties.

Kate and her husband, Prince William, attended church with King Charles III and Queen Camilla near their Balmoral estate in Scotland.

On September 9, Kate shared that she had completed her treatment for a type of cancer, which she had kept private. Her announcement came shortly after Buckingham Palace revealed that King Charles was also receiving treatment for cancer.

In a video message about her recovery, Kate explained that the journey to full health would take time and that she would take it one day at a time. She plans to take on some limited engagements for the rest of the year.

During her treatment, Kate stepped back from most public duties but made two notable appearances earlier this year: at the king’s birthday parade in June and at the men’s final at Wimbledon in July, where she received a warm welcome from the crowd.
