New Delhi: In a concerning development, new details have emerged revealing how Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) chief Masood Azhar has devised a blueprint to radicalise and deploy women for terror activities under the outfit’s newly formed women’s wing, Jamaat-ul-Mominaat.

A 21-minute audio clip of Azhar, accessed by IANS, details how female recruits will be trained, indoctrinated, and used to further JeM’s “global jihad” agenda, marking the first time the Pakistan-based terror outfit has formally sought to involve women in its militant operations.

The recording, reportedly delivered at Markaz Usman o Ali in Bahawalpur, outlines how the terror organisation plans to replicate its male militant training structure for women. Azhar declares that female recruits will now undergo an exclusive training programme titled “Daura-e-Taskiya”, similar to JeM’s long-running male indoctrination course “Daura-e-Tarbiat.”

For over two decades, JeM’s Daura-e-Tarbiat has served as the first stage of radicalising male recruits, convincing them that waging jihad against India ensures entry into paradise. Azhar now says the same doctrine will be extended to women.

In his speech, the dreaded terrorist promises that any woman who joins Jamaat-ul-Mominaat “will go straight to paradise from her grave after death.”

Azhar explains that after completing the initial course, recruits will move on to an advanced stage called “Daura-Ayat-ul-Nisah,” which focuses on interpreting Islamic texts to justify women’s participation in jihad.

Defending the creation of a female unit, Azhar claims that “the enemies of Jaish have put Hindu women into the army and set up female journalists against us,” adding that he is “mobilising his women to compete and fight against them.”

According to the audio, Azhar says JeM’s male Mujahids will stand alongside the new female fighters, and together, they will “spread Islam across the world.”

The JeM chief further reveals that branches of Jamaat-ul-Mominaat will be opened in every district of Pakistan, each led by a District Muntazima responsible for recruiting and training women.

Azhar also imposes strict communication rules, saying, “Women joining the brigade must not speak to any unrelated men through phone or messenger, except their husbands or immediate family members.”

The women’s wing will be led by Sadiya Azhar, sister of Masood Azhar. Her husband, Yusuf Azhar, was killed in Operation Sindoor on May 7, when Indian forces targeted JeM’s headquarters at Markaz Subhanallah.

JeM, Lashkar-e-Taiba, and Hizbul Mujahideen reportedly suffered major setbacks during Operation Sindoor, after Indian airstrikes destroyed multiple terror bases. Since then, these groups have shifted their operations to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) province to avoid further strikes.

Sources also indicate that Azhar has been actively appealing for funds to rebuild JeM’s infrastructure. In his previous address on September 27, he called for donations, while JeM’s women’s wing is reportedly collecting 500 PKR per new recruit, along with online registration forms. IANS
