Iran releases first-ever footage of Khamenei’s damaged home after US-Israel strike | VIDEO

Tehran: Iranian state media has released a footage showing the extent of damage to the compound of late Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei in Tehran, months after he was killed in US-Israeli strikes.
The 35-second video shows heavy destruction inside the Imam Khomeini Hussainiya, a prayer hall located within Khamenei’s compound. The visuals show collapsed structures, damaged beams and debris scattered across the hall, which was reportedly used by Khamenei for public addresses, meetings and religious gatherings.
The footage was released on Wednesday, coinciding with Khamenei’s burial ceremonies in Iran. It marked the first official glimpse of the compound after the attack that killed the 86-year-old leader on February 28, the opening day of the US-Israel war on Iran.
Several members of Khamenei’s family were also killed in the strike, including his 14-month-old granddaughter. His son, Mojtaba Ali Khamenei, who later succeeded him as Iran’s Supreme Leader, was reportedly injured in the attack.

Khamenei to be buried on Thursday in Mashhad
Khamenei will be buried today in his hometown of Mashhad in northeastern Iran, bringing an end to a week-long funeral procession that included ceremonies in Tehran, Qom and the Shia holy cities of Najaf and Karbala in Iraq.
His coffin was kept at the Tehran Grand Mosalla before being taken through the streets of Tehran and Qom. It was later transported through Najaf and Karbala, where millions of mourners reportedly gathered before the final burial.
Fresh strikes raise fears of renewed conflict
The release of the footage came amid renewed tensions between Washington and Tehran. The US military launched fresh strikes on Iran, saying the action was aimed at keeping the strategic Strait of Hormuz open for shipping.
The escalation followed US President Donald Trump’s statement that a ceasefire arrangement with Iran was “over”. Trump also warned that the US would intensify military action if Iran continued attacks on commercial vessels in the region.
Iran, meanwhile, said it had targeted US military facilities in Bahrain and Kuwait in response to earlier US strikes on Iranian infrastructure.
