Why is Dubai’s Global Village staying closed? Updates on reopening and safety

Dubai: One of Dubai’s most popular family-friendly attractions, Global Village, has confirmed it will remain closed until further notice following regional tensions.
The seasonal park initially shut its doors on Sunday, March 1, after Iran’s retaliatory strikes impacted the UAE on Saturday, February 28. Global Village had previously extended its closure until Sunday, March 8, but on its Instagram account, the park announced it will now stay closed “until further notice”.
Operating annually from October to May, the park said the extended shutdown is “a precautionary safety measure in line with official guidance.” Visitors seeking updates on reopening are advised to check the Global Village website or its social media channels.
Other major Dubai attractions, including Dubai Parks and Resorts and Ain Dubai, have also confirmed temporary closures “in line with official guidance”, prioritising visitor safety.
