Freak-offs, oil-filled sex pools, voyeurism: Cassie Ventura drops bombshell testimony against Diddy

In a bombshell testimony delivered in a Manhattan courtroom on Tuesday, singer and model Cassie Ventura recounted a series of disturbing events from her 12-year relationship with hip-hop mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs. The testimony, part of a federal sex crimes trial, detailed an environment of drug abuse, coercion, violence and surveillance allegedly orchestrated by Combs over the years.
Here are five of the most explosive revelations from Cassie’s nearly eight-hour testimony that shed light on the darker side of the music icon’s private world.
Forced drug use to endure abuse
Cassie, who is now pregnant with her third child, testified that her life was consumed by drugs during her relationship with Combs — substances she claimed were used as both an escape and a tool for control. She named ketamine, ecstasy, cocaine, GHB and marijuana among the drugs she regularly consumed. According to her, the use of these substances wasn’t just frequent — it was encouraged or even facilitated.
“I needed to remain high to stay present with the experience,” she said while describing how she had to be under the influence to endure the abuse and trauma during the so-called "freak-off" sessions. She added that Combs was aware of her blackouts and vomiting but continued to expose her to drug-fuelled scenarios.
Oil-filled hotel pools for sex sessions
Among the most bizarre details to emerge from the trial was Cassie’s description of hotel suites prepped for “freak-offs” — including rooms with pools filled with baby oil. She revealed that Combs’ staff would pour out “1,000 bottles of baby oil” into bathtubs or inflatable pools for sexual encounters that often spanned multiple days.
Homeland Security agents allegedly found thousands of such bottles during raids at Combs’ residences in Los Angeles and Miami earlier this year. Cassie testified that after these long and exhaustive sessions, staff members would often administer IV fluids to the participants.
The orchestrated 'freak-offs'
The “freak-offs” were “elaborate produced sex performances that Combs arranged, directed, masturbated during, and often electronically recorded.” Ventura told the court that these sessions were not isolated events but a regular and often prolonged part of her life with the hip-hop mogul. She said they sometimes continued for up to four days and included multiple sex workers, who were allegedly transported across state lines and even internationally by Combs and his staff.
Ventura described the experience as mentally and physically draining. “The ‘freak offs’ became a job. There was no space for anything else but to recover,” she said while testifying. She recalled being left to recover from “the drugs, dehydration, staying awake,” in the aftermath of each session.
“Every ‘freak off’ was directed by Sean,” Ventura added, stating that Combs controlled every detail, from lighting to positioning. In one incident, she said she and a male escort were instructed to apply baby oil on each other at his direction.
Even though she recorded hundreds of songs during her relationship with Combs, Ventura noted that only a fraction of her music ever saw release. She said that when she wasn’t in the studio, she was “recovering” from the aftermath of these encounters.
The ‘name game’ and voyeurism
In one particularly disturbing account, Cassie claimed that Combs derived pleasure from watching her have sex with others — a pattern of voyeuristic abuse that she said he took to extremes. He would allegedly record the acts, instruct participants on what to do, and sometimes interfere physically.
She also described a chilling “name game,” in which she was forced to shout out the names of people — including family members — during sex acts. In one instance, she testified that the “Victory” rapper asked her to refer to him using his grandfather’s nickname.
“It was weird,” she told the court. The jury was presented with an email exchange between the two, sent from “baby girl” (Ventura) to “Pop Pop” (Combs), with the subject line: “I really need to f---.” In response, Diddy allegedly asked her who she intended to sleep with. Ventura clarified her intentions on the stand, stating, “because I wanted to be with him,” not with the escorts she was often made to engage with.
Cassie said she found this degrading and humiliating but was powerless to stop it. The goal, she said, was not arousal but domination and humiliation.
Physical violence and beatings
Cassie also painted a picture of a violent and volatile partner. She said Combs frequently beat her, dragged her, and kicked her during fits of rage. At one point in her testimony, she said, “He hit me. He kicked me. He would stomp on me. It was something that happened often.”
These attacks, she said, were not isolated incidents but part of a wider pattern of control that extended to her professional life and personal relationships. Cassie alleged that Combs managed every aspect of her career, demanded to review her emails, and even monitored her whereabouts constantly.
Incident involving Suge Knight
In one of the more chilling moments of her testimony, Cassie Ventura described an incident where Sean “Diddy” Combs allegedly handed her a firearm and abruptly left during a “freak-off” session after receiving a tip that Suge Knight — his longtime music industry rival — had been spotted nearby at a diner.
According to Cassie, Combs’ bodyguard informed him about Knight’s presence, prompting the music mogul to storm out, apparently intent on confronting him. Before leaving, he reportedly instructed Cassie to hold the gun. Terrified, she pleaded with him not to do anything reckless, breaking down in tears and yelling, “Please don’t do anything stupid.”
In addition to her testimony, jurors were presented with a 2016 hotel security video that captured Sean Combs physically assaulting Cassie Ventura in a hotel lobby. The footage showed Combs forcefully throwing her to the ground. When the prosecutor asked how many times he had done that over the course of their relationship, Ventura replied, “Too many to count.”
Background of the case
The federal case against Sean Combs includes charges of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking by force or coercion, and transportation to engage in prostitution. Prosecutors allege that Combs operated a “sex ring” under the guise of his various business ventures, including Bad Boy Entertainment and Combs Global.
Cassie Ventura had previously filed a civil lawsuit in 2023, which was settled within 24 hours. However, her testimony in the criminal trial marks the first time she has spoken about the alleged abuse under oath.
