Barbaric! 'ISIS made us eat flesh of babies...' Yazidi survivor recounts horror

Jerusalem: A 21-year-old Yazidi woman, who had been kidnapped by ISIS terrorists at the age of 11, was rescued by Israeli forces in Gaza after a joint months-long operation led by the United States. The victim, Fawzia Amin Sido, spent more than a decade in captivity.  She has made disturbing revelations about her experience under the Islamic State.

Fawzia, who was rescued earlier this week, spoke to British documentary filmmaker Alan Duncan about the horrors she endured. She recounted that the ISIS militants who captured her and other Yazidi women had fed them the flesh of Yazidi babies.

"They told us they would provide food, and we were given rice and meat. But the meat had a strange flavor. After eating it, some of us had upset stomach and felt sick," she said.

It was only after the meal that Fawzia and the other women were told the terrying truth that the meat they had consumed was that of Yazidi babies.

"They showed us pictures of beheaded babies and told us we just ate them. The mothers of those babies were also present there. One of the woman even identified her child by its hands," she added.

She also revealed that she was drugged and raped during her years in captivity.

Fawzia was just nine years old when she, along with her two brothers, was captured by ISIS terrorists in 2014. During this time, over 6,000 Yazidis were abducted by ISIS from the Sinjar region of Iraq in a brutal campaign of violence and slavery.

Her rescue, which took place two weeks ago, was part of a coordinated effort between the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) and the US Embassy. Following her release, Fawzia was reunited with her family in the Sinjar region of northern Iraq.
