Fuel price tracker: How petrol and diesel fared today in India

Petrol and diesel prices in major Indian cities and state capitals remained largely steady on Sunday, January 18, with only minor fluctuations recorded in a few locations. Consumers in most metro areas saw no change in fuel rates.
Petrol prices show minimal changes
Petrol prices remained unchanged in several major cities, including New Delhi at ₹94.77, Kolkata at ₹105.41, Mumbai at ₹103.54, Gurgaon at ₹95.65, Chandigarh at ₹94.30, and Thiruvananthapuram at ₹107.48. In other cities, small adjustments were observed. Chennai recorded a slight decrease to ₹100.85, Noida fell to ₹94.77, Bangalore increased marginally to ₹102.96, and Bhubaneswar dropped to ₹101.11. Hyderabad’s petrol price declined to ₹107.46, Jaipur fell to ₹104.72, Lucknow dropped to ₹94.52, and Patna decreased to ₹105.23.
Diesel rates remain mostly unchanged
Diesel rates were stable in New Delhi at ₹87.67, Kolkata at ₹92.02, Mumbai at ₹90.03, Bangalore at ₹90.99, Chandigarh at ₹82.45, Hyderabad at ₹95.70, and Thiruvananthapuram at ₹96.48. Slight reductions were recorded in Chennai, where the price fell to ₹92.40, Noida decreased to ₹87.89, and Bhubaneswar dropped to ₹92.69. Jaipur’s diesel rate fell to ₹90.21, Lucknow to ₹87.61, and Patna to ₹91.49. Gurgaon saw no change, remaining at ₹88.10.
