The RP Group of companies, headed by expatriate business tycoon Dr. Ravi Pillai, is all set to employ yet another 80,000 employees within a year, including 6,000 engineers.

“With this, the total employee strength of the RP Group of companies will surpass a major milestone of two lakh employees,” said Dr. Ravi Pillai in an interview given to Mathrubhumi from Bahrain.

He also said that the construction of the proposed luxurious 100-story building in Dubai will begin shortly, in August 2024. The illustrious RP Group has bagged a major contract to set up a few petrochemical plants in the GCC countries. The company is scouting for talent for these projects, and about 80% of these recruitments will be made in India.

“Through this recruitment drive, Malayalees will be able to harness more opportunities. The selected candidates will be given intense training both in India and abroad. On successful completion of the training, the prospective candidates will be offered employment for a period of 5 to 10 years,” said Dr. Pillai.

Efforts to acquire 6,000 engineers have already begun, and they aim to complete the recruitment by December 2024.

“We ensure to provide world-class accommodation to the new recruits. Upholding our philosophy, the welfare and safety of our employees are of paramount importance. The infrastructure ensures the safety of every employee. No employee will be exposed to a hazardous work environment,” said Dr. Pillai.

Further, Dr. Pillai asserted that the RP Group was honoured by the government of Bahrain for completing one crore working days without causing any accidents on the petrochemical plant construction site.

Philanthropic activities by the RP Group

“Every year, the RP Group Foundation embarks on a multitude of philanthropic initiatives. In the future, we will be pursuing this with zeal and gusto,” said Dr. Pillai.

Further, Dr. Pillai conveyed that plans are rife to develop skill sets in education for the future generation. A budget of Rs 100 crore has already been allotted for this purpose. A plan for its implementation will be decided after a meticulous analysis of the project.

“This allocation of money is out of the ambit of the RP Foundation,” quoted Dr. Pillai.

100-floor superstructure in Dubai

The proposed 100-story building is being constructed in the heart of the business bay in Dubai.

New projects in Kerala

“I have plans to launch more projects in the tourism sector in Kerala. All these projects will be branded under the hospitality flagship of the ‘Raviz’ group. Raviz has already initiated an attempt to showcase Kerala on the global front under the branding ‘Favourite Kerala.’ Through this, the group has been able to usher in the natural beauty, ayurvedic tourism, folklore, and martial arts of Kerala to all the tourists flocking into “Raviz” in Dubai, Kerala, and Mali, respectively," shared Dr. Ravi Pillai.
