Mumbai: Fuel prices across India remained stable on Monday, March 10, 2026, despite a sharp rise in global crude oil prices. International benchmark Brent crude crossed the $100-per-barrel mark for the first time since July 2022, yet domestic retail fuel rates have not been revised.
In the national capital, Delhi, petrol continues to be priced at Rs 94.77 per litre, while diesel remains at Rs 87.67 per litre. Similarly, in Noida, petrol is being sold at Rs 94.88 per litre and diesel at Rs 87.98 per litre, showing no change from the previous day.
Over the past 10 days, petrol prices in Noida have fluctuated slightly between Rs 94.77 and Rs 95.12 per litre, while diesel prices have remained within the range of Rs 87.89 to Rs 88.29 per litre.
According to market data, global oil prices have climbed sharply in recent days. Brent crude was trading around $102.50 per barrel on Monday, while West Texas Intermediate (WTI) was priced near $101.20 per barrel. The surge marks an increase of nearly 8 per cent compared with last week.
Despite the global spike, government sources have indicated that there are no immediate plans to raise retail fuel prices in India.
Across states and union territories, petrol prices vary depending on local taxes and transportation costs. Among the higher-priced regions, petrol is currently priced at Rs 109.45 per litre in Andhra Pradesh, Rs 107.50 in Telangana, Rs 107.48 in Kerala, and Rs 106.56 in Madhya Pradesh. In Maharashtra, petrol is priced at Rs 103.50 per litre, while Karnataka reports a rate of Rs 102.99 per litre.
Meanwhile, petrol prices in other states include Rs 105.47 in Bihar, Rs 105.11 in Rajasthan, Rs 105.45 in West Bengal, and Rs 101.23 in Tamil Nadu. Lower rates are seen in regions such as Andaman and Nicobar at Rs 82.46 per litre and Uttarakhand at Rs 93.35 per litre.
Diesel prices also show regional variation. In Andhra Pradesh, diesel is currently priced at Rs 97.29 per litre, followed by Telangana at Rs 96.27 and Kerala at Rs 95.35 per litre. Other states include Madhya Pradesh at Rs 92.78, Maharashtra at Rs 91.39, and Karnataka at Rs 91.46 per litre.
In northern states, diesel is priced at Rs 88.25 per litre in Haryana, Rs 88.27 in Uttar Pradesh, and Rs 88.80 in Uttarakhand. Lower diesel prices are recorded in Chandigarh at Rs 82.45 and Arunachal Pradesh at Rs 81.80 per litre.
Fuel prices in India are revised daily by oil marketing companies based on international crude oil trends and currency fluctuations. However, retail prices can remain unchanged if companies choose to absorb fluctuations or if policy considerations delay revisions.
The recent surge in global crude prices has been linked to geopolitical tensions and supply concerns in major oil-producing regions, raising the possibility of future pressure on domestic fuel prices if the trend continues.
