In India, the responsibility of revising fuel prices lies with state-owned oil marketing companies, including Indian Oil, Bharat Petroleum, and Hindustan Petroleum. These adjustments are carried out in accordance with fluctuations in the global crude oil market.
Whenever international crude prices climb, domestic petrol prices are also pushed upward. On the other hand, when crude oil rates in the global market witness a decline, petrol prices across the country generally see a corresponding drop in their daily revisions.
