One dies in Panur bomb blast; CPM feels the heat

Kannur: One among the four individuals who were injured in an explosion while making a bomb at Panur in Kannur reportedly succumbed to the injuries.
The deceased was identified as Sherin, a native of Puthoor. The individual who was severely injured in the mishap was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Kozhikode.
The other three who were injured in the blast are currently receiving treatment at the hospital.
All those injured are known to be CPM supporters. Vinesh, the other youngster who suffered severe injuries in the incident, is the son of a local CPM leader
The accident happened around 1 AM on Thursday. The blast took place on the terrace of a house in Muliyathode in Panoor. While one of the individuals had suffered a serious injury on his palm, the other guy sustained wounds on his face in the explosion. Upon receiving the information, police rushed to the spot and moved the injured to a hospital.
Meanwhile, BJP and the Congress have accused the CPM of disrupting peace in the region.
BJP criticised the Left party for trying to topple the upcoming elections. The saffron party wanted central forces to be deployed in Kannur.
DYFI state secretary V K Sanoj condoled the incident.
