Woman jumps into well with her son in Attingal, child dies

Thiruvananthapuram: A young woman jumped into a water well in her house premise with her three-and-a-half-year-old son on Friday morning. While the child lost his life, the woman is undergoing treatment for injuries.

The deceased is Abhidev, son of Ramya (30) and Rajesh.

Fire force arrived at the spot after being informed by the locals, and pulled out the mother and her son from the well. They were immediately taken to Valiyakunnu taluk hospital. However Abhidev died mid way.

Ramya, who has sustained a severe head injury in the incident, has been shifted to the Thiruvananthapuram Government Medical College Hospital. Her husband Rajesh was questioned by the Attingal police in connection with the incident.
