Woman hacked to death in Thrissur while returning home

Thrissur: A woman was hacked to death while returning home with children in Kodungallur. The deceased has been identified as Rincy Nasser, 30, a Kodungallur native. It is learned that Riyaz, a neighbour of Rincy, is behind the crime. 

Rincy suffered grievous injuries and three of her fingers were severed in the attack. Further, she sustained a deep cut on her face. The incident took place around 7.30 pm on Thursday when Rincy was returning home with her children from her textile shop. Riyaz, who was waiting in an isolated place on the road, stopped the scooter and hacked Rincy.

The locals rushed to the scene after they heard Rincy’s screams. Fortunately, the children escaped unhurt. Riyaz fled the scene after the crime.
