Who’s 'Sir' directing TVM Medical College Principal and Superintendent at press conference on Dr Harris Chirakkal? Caught live on mic!

Thiruvananthapuram: During a joint press conference by Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Superintendent Dr Sunil Kumar and Principal Dr P K Jabbar that cast suspicion on Dr Harris Chirakkal, who had brought to light the crisis in the Medical College, both the officials reportedly received instructions via phone. The directive from the other end of the call was to "read the entire investigation report".
This became apparent when, while Dr Jabbar was speaking at the press conference, he received a phone call during which he was reminded of the same by the Superintendent. It was clearly visible that the call came as the media were asking pointed questions and the responses being given were unclear. The Principal could be seen addressing the caller respectfully as "Sir", and was heard saying “we had mentioned that” during the call. The microphone placed in front of him captured the conversation.
The press conference was regarding the investigation concerning Dr Harris Chirakkal. According to the Principal, a piece of equipment previously reported as missing had now been found. However, he expressed doubts as to whether the item was indeed the original or a new one. He also stated that a large box and a bill had been found in Dr Harris Chirakkal’s room.
Following this, journalists raised questions such as how a new box could have ended up in Dr Chirakkal’s locked room while he was on leave, and whether the CCTV footage had been reviewed. However, both officials were unable to provide clear answers to these queries. They reiterated that a more detailed investigation was necessary, and that the report would be submitted to the government.
Dr Harris Chirakkal had earlier alleged that he was being personally targeted following his outspoken remarks regarding issues at the Medical College. He claimed that there were attempts being made to trap him, and that his office had been locked with an additional padlock.
