The child was playing indoors when the monkeys attacked. Upon hearing the commotion, the family made noise, causing the monkeys to flee. However, the girl sustained deep injuries and was promptly admitted to Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Hospital for treatment. The family expressed their concern, stating that their house has been regularly disturbed by monkeys for the past three months.
These monkeys have been causing various troubles, including hurling tiles from the roof, contaminating water in the tanks, attacking goats and chickens, and damaging unripe coconuts.
