Youth critically injured as lorry rams bike in Thiruvananthapuram

Thiruvananthapuram: A youth sustained grave injuries after a speeding lorry collided with a two-wheeler here on Saturday. 

The incident happened at about 2:40 pm on Kattakada Poovachal road. Both the vehicles were travelling from Kattakkada. The speeding lorry took a reckless right turn, hitting the two-wheeler. 

The youth was admitted to the medical college hospital. This is the third tipper lorry accident reported in the district in the past week. 

The lorry is reported to be of a sand mafia arriving from Onamcode. Nearby residents claimed the lorry was spotted several times in the locale for the past two days. A similar incident happened on Friday.
