Thrissur: The Archdiocese of Thrissur has severely criticised the government through their mouthpiece ‘Catholica Sabha’. An article published in the publication alleged that everything has been alright only in the families of some leaders and their dependents.

The article also requested the readers to intelligently exercise their franchise and to keep away those who try to make a religious nation. The LDF government came into power claiming to make everything alright. But nothing was alright except for the families of leaders and their families. The article also pointed out issues like backdoor placements.

The archdiocese also indirectly mentioned who should be voted to power in this election. Some forces are trying to make India a religious country. Kerala has not given in to the religious extremist groups yet. Those who woo voters upholding religious issues should not be encouraged, the article reads.

Though LDF and BJP are strongly criticised in the article, the article never mentioned Congress or UDF. The political fronts are curiously watching how this stand taken by the church will affect the results as the election is only a few days away.
