Charred body found in Thiruvananthapuram college; Believed to be that of proprietor

Thiruvananthapuram: A charred body was found inside P A Aziz College in Karakulam, Nedumangad, on Tuesday morning. The remains were found in the hall of an unfinished building on the college premises.
Preliminary investigations by the police suggest that the body is that of Muhammad Abdul Aziz Thaha, the college proprietor. His car and mobile phone were located nearby, further supporting the identification.
Reports indicate that Abdul Aziz was facing financial difficulties, with locals stating he had debts and that people seeking repayment had recently caused disturbances. Witnesses also reported seeing him near the college on Monday.
Abdul Aziz, a native of Eravipuram in Kollam, had been residing in a rented accommodation at Peyad. Early Tuesday, college staff noticed a fire in the hall and discovered the body, prompting them to alert the Nedumangad police.
The police currently suspect suicide as the cause of death, though a thorough investigation is underway. Forensic experts have been called to the scene to gather evidence and confirm the circumstances surrounding the incident.
