Class 10 girl found hanging in Alappuzha hostel corridor; investigation underway

Alappuzha: In a tragic development from Alappuzha, a Class 10 student was found dead at the Chennithala Navodaya School hostel early on the morning of Thursday.
The student was discovered hanging near the washroom corridor around 4am, prompting an immediate police investigation.
Officers from the Mannar police station arrived at the scene shortly after the incident was reported. According to preliminary inputs, a suicide note may have been found, although its contents have not been disclosed. Authorities are proceeding cautiously and have not yet confirmed the cause or motive behind the student’s death.
The student had been actively participating in school events the evening prior, including basketball training and a dance performance. Teachers and classmates described her as cheerful and engaged, expressing shock over the sudden turn of events.
While the school had previously dealt with complaints related to ragging, investigators have clarified that there is no indication linking such incidents to the current case.
