Sreekaryam school to Rose House: V Sivankutty extends warm welcome to Afghan family

Three students from Afghanistan visited Rose House, the official residence of V Sivankutty, Kerala Minister for General Education and Labour in Thiruvananthapuram, on Sunday.
The minister had met Marwa Rahimi and Ahmad Mozamel Rahimi, both studying in class 6, and Ahmad Mansoor Rahimi, class 3, during a visit to Sreekaryam Government High School.
He had then invited them and their families for breakfast at his residence.
Accordingly, the children arrived at Rose House on Sunday morning with their parents, Shafiq Rahimi and Zarghona Rahimi. The minister and his wife, R. Parvathy Devi, warmly welcomed the family and ensured they spoke with each family member.
The children expressed their appreciation for their school's facilities, including air conditioning and elevators.
Following their conversation, the family had breakfast with the minister.
Shafiq Rahimi is a research scholar in the Department of Economics at Kerala University. The couple plans to enroll their younger children, five-year-old Ahmad Maher Rahimi and three-and-a-half-year-old Mahnaz Rahimi, in a preschool soon.
