Ambulance drivers drop couple in Bengaluru without payment

Ambalapuzha: Ambulance drivers became saviours for Bengaluru natives who went cashless to return to their native place after getting discharged from the hospital. The saviours are Karur Puthuval Sajith (28) and Azhikkakathu Thoppil Manu (28) who run an ambulance service called Heart Beats based in Purakkad. The fuel cost was borne by the well-wishers of the hospital.
Bengaluru Ramamurthy Nagar natives were undergoing treatment for cancer at a private hospital in Cherthala for two weeks but they were broke after getting discharged from the hospital.
Sajith and Manu found the news on social media. The woman was seeking help to return to Bengaluru after her husband’s treatment. Soon they rushed to the hospital and left for Bengaluru with the patient at 3.30 am on Monday.
