Iritty bike rider bitten by a snake resting inside helmet

Iritty: A man was bitten on the head by a snake that was resting inside his helmet. K Ratheesh (40), a Padiyoor native, had kept the helmet on his bike parked outside his residence. 

A temporary staff in the Forest Department, Ratheesh was rushing to work on his bike when the snake resting inside the helmet bit him. 

Although his relatives immediately took him to a private hospital in Kannur, it was not possible to identify what snake had bitten him as Rathish had thrown the helmet away after finding the snake inside it. Later, during his medical examination, the doctors identified the snake as a non-venomous python.
