Snake boat capsizes during Champakulam boat race, all rescued

Alappuzha: A snake boat accidentally overturned during the Champakulam Moolam boat race on the Pampa River here.

The snake boat, Kattil Thekkethil Chundan, oared by women, capsized during the final match. Fortunately, all were rescued on time despite 22 oarswomen suffering minor injuries.

The incident happened during the final match between Kattil Thekkethil Chundan of Champakulam Panchayat and a snake boat of Nedumudi Panchayat.
