Seven injured in lightning strike in Kozhikode beach

Kozhikode: As many as seven people sustained injuries in a lightning strike at the beach on Thursday. The injured include both those working in the area and individuals resting at the beach, one of whom is a 17-year-old.

As of now, the health condition of six people remains stable, while one person is in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Beach Hospital. The incident occurred around 1 p.m., and among those injured were two individuals who were standing on top of a lorry.

The injured are Manaf, Subair, Anil Ashraf, Saleem, Abdul, Latheef and Jamsheer. They have been admitted to the beach hospital in Kozhikode for treatment.
