M Mehaboob to lead CPM in Kozhikode, P Mohanan steps down

Vadakara: Senior CPM leader from the district M Mehaboob has been named as the CPM Kozhikode district secretary. The new secretary was chosen at the CPM district conference held in Vadakara.

Mehaboob is the chairman of Consumerfed and a member of the party's district secretariat. He has also served for a long time as the president of the Kozhikode District Cooperative Bank, the president of the State Cooperative Bank, the vice chairman of Kerafed and a board member of various apex cooperative institutions.

The district committee approved the name proposed by the district secretariat. The current district secretary, P. Mohanan, stepped down after completing three terms in the position.
