Man who set himself ablaze in front of woman's house dies

Balaramapuram (Thiruvananthapuram): A man who tried to set himself ablaze in front of a woman’s house here has died. The deceased identified as Russelpuram native, 32-year-old Rajesh. The incident happened last Tuesday at 7 in the morning.

Rajesh, who was working as a porter in a beverage godown in Russelpuram, barged into the premises of the house of a woman who worked in his office. He jumped over the wall of the woman’s house located next to the sub-registrar office and set himself on fire.

The woman who tried to stop him also suffered severe burns. While undergoing the treatment, he had given a statement that the financial dealings between them led to the suicide. Rajesh died at around 7 on Friday. Hie is survived by Krishnapriya.
