Ramanattukara gold smuggling: Prime accused nabbed by customs officials

Kozhikode: The customs on Wednesday arrested the prime accused in the Ramanattukara gold smuggling case. The arrested is Nadir Kudukkil, a native of Koduvally in Kozhikode. He had reportedly arrived in Kerala via Nepal.
The incident pertaining to the case took place on June 21, 2021. Five members of a Koduvally-based gold smuggling racket were killed after their vehicle met with an accident in Ramanattukara in the wee hours.
Following which, it was found that the accident took place while gold smuggling quotation gangs were chasing the vehicle. Several people, including gangster Arjun Ayanki, were named as accused in the case.
