Rahul Mamkootathil is a womaniser with sexual perversions; I stopped him early: MA Shahnaz
Kozhikode: Congress loyalist MA Shahnaz has levelled serious allegations against MLA Rahul Mamkootathil. “I knew long back itself that Rahul Mamkootathil is a womaniser. If a committee is formed within the Congress, this will become clear. He knows how to manipulate every woman. Since I understood Rahul early, I stopped him where I should have,” Shahnaz told media.
“Rahul Mamkootathil had discussed this issue with several individuals. Many people whom Rahul spoke to, believing them to be trustworthy, later told me the same things he said in a television interview. I even sent Rahul messages responding to those points. Although he has seen all those messages, he has not replied.
“I knew long back that Rahul Mankootathil is a womaniser. If a commission like the Hema Commission is set up within the Congress, this will become completely clear. For me personally, this is not an issue. I have the courage to look him in the face and respond to every single thing Rahul has said.
“I am fully aware of what I utter in public. Can one file complaints against everyone? I have not filed a complaint against Rahul even within the party. When Rahul called for the farmers’ protest in Delhi, I responded to that.
“Rahul Mamkootathil is someone who knows how to manipulate every woman. When problems arise in a family, he intervenes under the pretext of resolving it and sexually exploits their wives. He tells them that if marriage has to happen or if they want to convince their families, the woman must become pregnant, and later he arranges abortions. I have heard that he owns a pharmacy.
“Recently, one of Rahul’s voice clips came out. In it, a woman is heard asking him not to abuse her. When a man uses his power to say how long it would take him to kill someone, I, as a responsible woman, will respond to that—whoever it may be.
“Rahul knows that I am a writer. That is why he kept repeatedly asking me to organise a literature festival. He knows exactly what to say to traumatise women.
“I am not a victim of Rahul Mamkootathil. Because I recognised what kind of person he was from the beginning, I stopped him where I should have.”
“The Congress party has clearly understood this issue. The KPCC president and the Leader of the Opposition VD Satheesan, also have this understanding. The Congress leadership does not expel someone merely based on allegations; there is concrete evidence.
“Rahul Mamkootathil is a man with sexual perversions. Take him to a doctor. Perhaps, using power and money, Rahul may be let off. I had told Shafi that if girls are to be encouraged to join the Youth Congress and KSU, people like Rahul should not be placed there,” said MA Shahnaz.
