Police seize ganja smuggled in fish-laden pickup van in Kozhikode; 2 in custody

Kozhikode: The Kozhikode Police on Saturday seized ganja smuggled in a pickup van used for transporting fish. The incident took place around 12:30 p.m. near the corporation office in Kozhikode Beach. Two people have been taken into custody in connection with the incident. 

As per reports, the ganja was kept hidden inside two boxes, which are generally used for carrying fish. They were covered in plastic sheets. 

Meanwhile, numerous people gathered in the area violating Nipah protocol. Following this, police officials dispersed the crowd.
