Petrol pump staff attacked for not receiving GPay notification, two absconding

Kottayam: A worker was assaulted by two young men at a Hindustan petrol pump near Thalayolaparambu on Monday. 

Ajay Saji and Akshay, both residents of Vadakara, assaulted Appachan due to disagreements arising from not receiving a voice message through Google Pay.

The incident happened late on March 14. V. P. Shah, a passerby who tried to intervene, suffered injuries after the accused stabbed him in the back using an object similar to a screwdriver.

The Thalayolaparambu police have registered the case. They have also begun searching for the two men.
