UDF boycotts all-party meet; demands removal of forest minister; urges CM to visit Wayanad

Sulthan Bathery: The UDF boycotted the all-party meeting convened by ministers in Wayanad in the wake of increasing wildlife attacks. The UDF representatives boycotted the meeting demanding to remove Forest minister from his post and urging the Chief Minister to visit Wayanad.
After boycotting the meeting, MLA T Siddique, speaking to the media, said that the need of the hour in Wayanad is not discussions but actions. The government continues to try to deceive the people with negotiations, he said while demanding action with regards to the Wayanad Medical College.
“The common people of Wayanad should be able to live here. People are being thrown to wild animals like flies. The government holds the primary responsibility. The chief minister, who is the head of the government, should come here in person. AK Saseendran should be removed from the post of Forest minister and the charge of the district should also be taken away from them. This boycott has been carried out by taking the people’s sentiments into consideration,” Siddique said.
Minister A.K Sasindran, M.B Rajesh and K. Rajan had reached Sulthan Bathery on Tuesday. An all-part meeting was convened this morning.
