PC George says he will win by 20,000 votes; LDF, UDF candidates will end up as ‘disappointed lovers’

Kottayam: The Mathrubhumi News election bus halted in front of the ancestral home of NDA candidate PC George at Plathottam on the Erattupetta–Chennad road in Poonjar constituency, after traveling along the Ettumanoor–Poonjar highway. Amid cheers and a gathering crowd, PC George stood confidently. After greeting everyone, he, along with his younger son Dr Shane George, boarded the election bus. The bus then turned towards the Pala road after passing in front of St. George Church, Aruvithura.
Speaking with confidence, PC George said, “I will win with a majority of 20,000 votes.” When asked if he was certain, he replied with firm conviction that he was “100% sure.” He added that the LDF and UDF candidates are essentially competing for the second position. He alleged that the UDF candidate spends 9 months of the year in the United States and only 3 months in the constituency, while the LDF candidate has done nothing for the constituency despite having 5 years in office. Both, he said, would end up as “disappointed lovers.”
He also stated that his unexpected defeat in the last election was due to issues related to religion, which he now acknowledges. He maintained that his earlier statements were made from the side of truth.
PC George further claimed that the BJP provides the most representation to Muslims, noting that several ministers from the Muslim community are part of BJP-ruled states.
When asked about the future of Kerala Congress, he responded with a loud laugh.
The election bus later reached Pala Municipality, where a discussion titled “Mathrubhumi Election Bus” was held in front of the municipal office. The bus then proceeded toward Kochi.
