Khadi introduces paper slippers for indoor use

Khadi came up with ‘use and throw’ paper slippers that can be used inside houses, hospitals, places of worship, offices and other indoor spaces. It can also be used inside laboratories and surgery rooms. Khadi and Village Industries Commission had introduced the slippers which is a hundred percent eco-friendly product. The paper used in these hand-made slippers is obtained from cotton, silk fibre and agricultural wastes. Not a single tree had been cut for the production of the paper slippers.  

The slippers cost Rs 50. Different varieties of Khadi slippers which cost more than Rs 1000 exists in the market. The use and throw slippers target the international market too. Apart from this, Khadi has also introduced baby napkins and frocks. Through the portal www.khadiindia.gov.in , customers can buy the product.
