One login for all services: Kerala launches single sign-on portal for Revenue officials
Malappuram: Kerala Revenue Minister A P Anil Kumar launched a single sign-on (SSO) digital portal for Revenue Department officials on Tuesday, stating that the initiative will make public service delivery faster, more transparent and citizen-friendly.
Unveiling the state-level rollout during a district-level review meeting in Malappuram, the Minister explained that the system, developed using the Union Government's Jan Parichay platform through central and state collaboration, allows officials to access multiple departmental applications using a single set of credentials via their official email IDs.
The streamlined platform eliminates the necessity for separate usernames and passwords across individual applications, significantly reducing delays associated with forgotten credentials and redundant logins.
In its initial rollout phase, the platform integrates core revenue services, including land administration tools, the Digital Revenue Card, the Human Resource Management System (HRMS), Covid ex-gratia processing and the Endosulfan victims' compensation portal. Remaining departmental applications will be integrated into the portal during the final implementation phase.
Addressing the review session, the Minister urged departmental staff to clear pending files promptly and ensure the time-bound delivery of services, such as land title deeds (pattayam), digital services and revenue adalats.
He instructed officials to draw up a dedicated action plan to clear backlogs in land title distributions across the district, giving priority to tribal and coastal communities while ensuring visitors to revenue offices receive polite and efficient assistance.
According to official data, 42,141 land title deeds have been issued in Malappuram district since 2021, with 17,608 applications currently pending. Out of these, processing is underway to distribute 2,057 title deeds as part of the state government's 100-day action programme.
