One person held as Excise team seized 1.5 kg ganja from his house

 Thamarassery (Kozhikode): Excise team has  seized 1.5 kg ganja from the rented house of the man, Harshad (38), who was captured the other day by Kunnamangalam police for the possession of 14.5 kg of ganja. The police arrested the accused, during a vehicle inspection, as he was travelling in a scooter with the ganja intended for sale. 

According to the information from Assistant Excise Inspector, Chandran Kuzhichalil of Kozhikode Excise Intelligence Bureau, a team under the direction of Thamarassery Excise Circle Inspector E Jineesh conducted the raid at the residence of the accused on Monday.

The locked up house was broken open by the excise officers in the presence of the house owner and a panchayat member. One and a half kg of ganja was found from under the bed inside a room. Excise authorities have registered a case in connection with the seizure.
