Offshore exploratory drilling for oil and gas in the Kerala Konkan basin set to resume soon

Kochi: Sushma Rawat, ONGC Director (exploration), said that the offshore exploratory drilling  for oil and gas in the Kerala Konkan basin will resume soon. She assured that the exploratory drill will resume in a period of two years backed by deeper research and better technology  

Sushma addressed the gathering after inaugurating an international meeting of petroleum geophysicists in Kochi yesterday. 

A meeting and expo organised by the Society of Petroleum Geophysicists (SPG) will be held in Kochi from Friday. Well known geoscientists and engineers from across the world will take part in the event.

The meeting will happen at the Lulu Bolgatty International Convention Centre.
