Ezhuthachan Puraskaram for Malayalam writer N S Madhavan

Thiruvananthapuram: Noted writer NS Madhavan has been selected for the 2024 Ezhuthachan Puraskaram (award). The award consists of a cash prize worth Rs 5,00,000, a citation, and a plaque.

The jury, chaired by SK Vasanthan and including members Dr TK Narayanan and Dr Muse Mary George, along with Kerala Sahitya Akademi Secretary CP Aboobacker, selected the award winner.

While announcing the winner, Minister Saji Cherian remarked that NS Madhavan is a writer who maintains consistent vigilance in both writing style and narrative acceptance, transforming the realities of life into remarkable literary creations through the alchemical process of creativity.

The Ezhuthachan Award is the highest literary honor given by the state government.
