No problem partaking in other religious celebrations, avoid imitating their culture: Kanthapuram

Kozhikode: In a significant announcement, Samastha Kerala Jamiyyathul Ulama General Secretary Kanthapuram A. P. Aboobacker Musliyar opined that there is no issue over partaking in the celebrations of other religious groups.
However, he clarified that "one just has to be careful not to emulate their culture." Kanthapuram went on to say that it is their tradition to maintain cordial relations with other religions.
He also welcomed rival Sunni faction to its fold and added that his organisation's 100th anniversary won't be an obstacle to such a unity.
Meanwhile, the centenary celebrations of Samastha (led by Kanthapuram) will be held on December 30 at Kasaragod. The celebrations that will extend for three years will be announced on that day.
Meanwhile, Kanthapuram stated that the Congress should respond to questions about the Ayodhya Ram temple's inauguration.
