V D Satheesan presents no-confidence motion; says state administration hijacked by smugglers
Thiruvananthapuram: MLA V D Satheesan stated while presenting the no-confidence motion that the captain's cabin is in trouble as the office of the chief minister, who is captain of the state administration, has been hijacked by the smugglers. Even if the chief minister is respected, he has no control over the administration, V D Satheesan criticised.
When the chief minister conducted a press conference stating that there are no issues, the Customs officials were interrogating his former principal secretary M Sivasankar. The chief minister keeps saying that he is not aware of anything. But his office is the headquarters of gold smuggling, Satheesan alleged.
The government should not kill democracy and freedom of the press, Satheesan said. Consultancy is a weakness for the government. The chief minister's office has been degraded and can be easily influenced by anyone. All blames were dumped on Sivasankar as he was aware of everything, Satheesan further alleged.
It was not mere Rs 4 crore but Rs 9.25 crore that was misappropriated in Life Mission project. As 46 percent of the project cost is bribe, it is a national record. Rs 5 crore of this was given to a comrade involved in the BevQ app. His involvement in Life Mission should be brought to light, Satheesan said.
