'No BJP-CPM deal': Rajeev Chandrasekhar rejects allegations, questions Congress-League pact | VIDEO

Thiruvananthapuram: BJP leader and NDA candidate Rajeev Chandrasekhar has dismissed allegations made by the Congress party regarding a secret understanding between the BJP and the CPM for the upcoming assembly elections. Questioning the logic behind the claims, Chandrasekhar asked how the BJP could strike a deal with the CPM while simultaneously being the only party consistently exposing the ruling front's corruption.
According to Chandrasekhar, the real "deal" exists between the CPM and Congress under the banner of the INDI Alliance. He further challenged the Congress to clarify the nature of their agreements with the Muslim League and Jamaat-e-Islami.
"There is an undeniable pact between the CPM and Congress called the INDI Alliance," Chandrasekhar said. "Furthermore, it is a pertinent question to ask what the deal is between the Congress and the Muslim League, who effectively 'remote control' the party. Based on the information we have received, the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) has demanded a Deputy Chief Minister post and six ministerial berths should a UDF government ever return to power. Has such a deal been finalised?"
He also raised concerns regarding the relationship between the Muslim League, Jamaat-e-Islami, and the SDPI, asserting that the public deserves to know the specifics of their collaboration. Reiterating that the possibility of a BJP-CPM deal is "zero”, he pointed out the BJP's active role in uncovering government corruption and the alleged mismanagement of Sabarimala funds.
In addition, Chandrasekhar addressed propaganda regarding the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act (FCRA), stating that attempts to label it "anti-Christian" to incite fear within the community have failed.
