Shoranur: NIA puts up wanted posters of 6 PFI activists, announces cash reward

Shoranur: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has pasted wanted posters of the leaders of the banned outfit Popular Front of India (PFI) at the railway station here. Huge rewards have been announced for people who provide information on the absconders. The identities of the informants will be concealed/will remain confidential.
The list of accused includes Palakkad natives Abdul Rasheed (32), Mohammedali (42), Shahul Shameed (54), Mohammed Mansoor (41), and also Abdul Wahab, who is a native of Ernakulam. Five of the six individuals hailed from various regions including Pattambi, Cherpulassery, and Ernakulam district. The identity of a person is yet to be ascertained. They are all accused in a PFI case registered at the Kochi office of NIA.
The posters containing photos, details, and rewards for the accused have been pasted in different areas at the Shoranur railway station. The person who gives information on the accused whose identity is yet to be ascertained will receive a reward of Rs 7 lakhs. Details on Abdul Rasheed and Abdul Wahab will fetch the informant Rs 5 lakhs each. Informants will win Rs 3 lakhs as a reward for providing information on the remaining accused.
The phone number of the NIA Kochi office has also been mentioned in the posters. A team of NIA officials arrived at the station yesterday to stick the posters.
