Thiruvananthapuram: Kudumbashree is set to launch its new ‘Meat Point Takeaway’ counters, offering breakfast, dinner and snack options to local residents. In the first phase, four counters will become operational across the district.

The state-level inauguration will be held at Mulavana Junction on Tuesday at 1.30 pm.

The takeaway counters will feature a wide range of dishes, including broasted chicken, chicken nuggets, kebabs, momos, samosas, Chicken 65, chicken lollipops, chicken bread pops and chicken meatballs.

Launched under a unified model ensuring consistent quality of ingredients and basic facilities, the initiative aims to provide a sustainable income source for Kudumbashree café and canteen units. Selected members will receive comprehensive training in food preparation, ingredient management, packaging, procurement and marketing, in collaboration with Meat Products of India.

Once fully operational, the project is expected to provide sustainable employment for over 200 women. Neighbourhood groups and auxiliary members interested in running takeaway counters are encouraged to contact their local Kudumbashree District Mission Office. Selected participants will receive both training and financial support to successfully operate the counters.
