NDA ally RPI’s Nusrat Jahan to enter poll fray from Wayanad

Wayanad: The Republican Party of India, an NDA ally, will field national vice president Nusrat Jahan in Wayanad. 

RPI national president and Union Minister Ramdas Athawale announced her candidacy, said RPI state president P R Somanath during a press conference here. Somanath also said the party would make its stand clear if the NDA names anyone else for the Wayanad Lok Sabha constituency. 

Nusrat Jahan, whose works are based in Delhi, will reach her native place, Kozhikode, on March 26. She will reach Wayanad on March 27. 

The party will have a total of 300 full-time election workers, he said, adding that an election committee with 501 members has also been formed.
