Mukkam fireforce team rescues man stuck on coconut tree
Kozhikode: The Mukkam Fire and Rescue Service team pulled off a rescue mission in Cheruvadi Kadavu, saving the life of a coconut tree climber named Veerankutty.
Veerankutty had hopped on the tree with the help of a climbing tool, however he slipped off the machine as a coconut fell on his head. He was found hanging upside down from the tree when the rescue team arrived at the spot.
Meanwhile, one of the onlookers tried to save Veeran. However, his attempts proved futile. But the coconut climber was tied to the tree to ensure his safety.
The fireforce team used a 40 feet ladder to climb on the tree, and rescued Veerankutty with the help of a net. Upon rescuing, he was shifted to the hospital for medical attention.
