15 fishermen missing as boat from Beypore goes missing

Kozhikode: A boat with 15 fishermen went missing from Beypore. The boat had left the coast on May 5 with 15 fishermen and there are no reports on the boat or the fishermen till date. There are reports that another boat which left Beypore on May 5 suffered damages and is stranded on Goa coast. There are 15 fishermen in that boat, it is learnt.

There are no reports on where the 15 fishermen are or what happened to them. They left Beypore port on the boat Ajmir Shah.

A total of 30 fishermen were present in both boats together. Fishermen from Tamil Nadu too were in the boat.

Reports on Milad-3, the boat that was stranded on the Goa coast, was obtained on Sunday morning. Fishermen sought the immediate intervention of the Coast Guard and Navy officials to rescue the fishermen from the stranded boat. They also demanded a probe on the missing boat.
