38-yr-old attempts to rape woman by breaking into house; arrested

Changanassery: A man who barged into a house and assaulted a woman during broad daylight was arrested by the police.

The incident took place near Payipad Kochupalli around 12 noon on Thursday. The assaulter Thrikkodithanam Aneesh (38), came to the house making sure that the parents-in-law of the 26-year-old woman was not present at home. The woman saw the attacker in front of the door when she answered the calling bell. She immediately shut the door and ran inside. She infact remembered seeing the attacker in the morning when she went to drop her child at the Anganwadi. 

After a while, she went out to do the laundry when the assaulter came again from behind and covered the woman’s face. The woman defended him and ran inside to close the door. But he managed to get in. He kicked her and she fell hitting her head on the wall, making her unconscious. 

He made an attempt to snatch her necklace and sexually abuse her. The clothes of the woman was in a torn state. The woman was taken to hospital for treatment and police have begun interrogation.
