Mammootty, Kamal Haasan and Prithviraj condole Wayanad landslide victims, urge caution

South Indian actors have extended their heartfelt condolences to the families affected by the tragic landslides in Wayanad district.

Actor Mammootty conveyed his sympathy through a poignant Facebook post, urging the public to stay vigilant and safe amid the ongoing heavy rainfall and natural calamities. He advised people to minimise travel during this period and provided crucial contact information, including the Health Minister’s office control room, the Health Department control room, and the 24-hour State Level Police Control Room.

Actor Prithviraj Sukumaran also shared his condolences on X, calling for restraint in spreading false news to prevent unnecessary panic among the public.

Similarly, Kamal Haasan took to X to express his deep sorrow over the devastation caused by the landslides in Wayanad and Valparai, Kerala. He conveyed his heartfelt condolences to those who have lost loved ones, homes, and possessions. 

Kamal Haasan emphasised the importance of collective action and understanding in the face of natural disasters. He also expressed gratitude to the army personnel and state government employees who have risked their lives to aid in rescue operations during these challenging times.
